Marquis at Barton Trails

Maintenance is great, amenities are pretty standard. However I had the worst year living here. To start, management is abysmal. They overhauled the entire staff overnight and replaced them with equally ignorant and incompetent folks. My unit needed to have the tub resurfaced a total of 4 times, in one year. Rather than replace the old tub entirely, they made me evacuate the premises (on my dime) for 48 hours each time. The package room is NEVER working and the key fob you are given doesn’t open anything. I was told during move in that my fob was faulty and would need to be replaced; every time I returned I was told that actually my fob was fine and their system was broken. It stayed “broken” the entire time I lived here. Location of the complex is quite nice, but I would not advise anyone to live here unless you wish to deal with the worst management I’ve ever dealt with any at apartment complex I’ve ever lived in.

So far so good. Little over a 3 months* in and the staff is very responsive and helpful. The premises feels more like a home than an apartment if I'm to be honest but of course milage may vary. Grounds are very well kept, communication seems great as far as any security issues. I've not experienced any kids partying so hard the entire neighborhood gets disturbed. It seems like a more mature area, though this may just be lucky for me and my building. I like it. Just have to get through winter to see if the place can properly handle any random snow storms. So far, pretty great place. EDIT: Shout out to the maintenance staff these fellas are on point.

I’ve been living in a recently renovated phase 1 apartment since March of this year (2022) I’ve loved it so far. It’s super close to everything you’ll ever need in terms of shopping, and an easy on/off from mopac. I work downtown and it’s only about a 20 min commute during rush hour. It’s a quiet complex and people mostly keep to themselves. I’ve always felt safe here and am glad I made the decision to rent here. I will be transparent and say that I have had a couple cockroaches and some ants here. But their pest control came the following Wednesday to spray my apartment which has helped a lot.

My APT unit is terrible. I got leased an apt unit with a HOLE in the ground underneath my carpet, and only found it because I recently hurt my bare foot on it. Im so dissapointed that even after telling management thay I hurt my foot, she they were so unapologetic, unproffessional and rude. In the past 6 months I have put in 15 maintenance requests since I have started my lease; For pest infestation, cabinets falling apart, roof collapsing from water damage. I still haven't put maintenance requests for the remaining problems, ie more water damage in restroom and random holes in the kitchen that lead to unknown places. I was hoping that the team would be able to help me out and atleast get me out of this unit. No help, whatsoever. Would not recommend living here. ALSO, my car window was smashed and broken into. My firearm stolen. So much dog poop everywhere you go on the grass. The sprinkler systems are terrible, a waste of water and flood the walkways. Goodluck trying to enjoy the dog park when it drizzles outside because management refuses to remulch it, so its just muddy and unusable. Theres a homeless encampment about 100 yards away so the crime has risen in the area. THESE APARTMENTS SUCK

I’ve been living at Marquis at Barton Trails (phase 1) for a few months now and I absolutely love it! The girls at the front desk are always happy to help and are just an overall pleasure to interact with. Additionally, maintenance requests are addressed immediately. I also love the apartment layouts, the amount of natural light, and the homeliness they give off while still feeling modern. It’s truly a great place to live, and a great location!
